Instructors: Alaina Webster, Tracy Reynolds and Natalie Passmore.

CAMP FORMAT 2024: It's your camp, so you choose!

Last year we trialled the option of choosing exactly the sessions you wanted to do – offering the choice of poles, flat, girds, SJ and XC. It was a little tricky to arrange, but the feedback we have had is that it worked, so we will once again give people the opportunity to request the type of lesson they would like.

Please remember to put on your booking form the flat work level and jump height you are comfortable with so that we can make sure you are with people of the same standard. If there is someone you really want to ride with, and they are riding at the same level, we will also try and accommodate that, so please let us know on the booking form.

Juniors will again be welcome but must be accompanied at all times by a non-riding adult attending camp (with transport) - whether this is a parent/guardian or nominated responsible adult.

If a more relaxed, fun break is what you are looking for, we have included a happy hacking option at Stockland Lovell - a perfect way to enjoy somewhere different and take in the views (the Quantock Hills are also only a short trailer trip away).

4 riders canter up the hill at Stockland Lovell

The cost for each camp includes:

  • Food and accommodation for you (you need to bring your own bedding) - please let us know on the booking form who you wish to share with and any dietary requirements

  • And stabling for your horse - including a shavings bedding and hay or haylage. Please bring your horse's hard feed if required. Each stable is provided fully bedded up with wood shavings. However, additional shavings can be purchased from Stockland Lovell if needed.

  • Instruction - four lessons at Pontispool and three lessons at Stockland Lovell.

Choose your camp option!

  Instructional Camp

Over the course of the weekend riders will receive up to 4 sessions (at Pontispool, 3 sessions at Stockland Lovell) of group instruction which will consist of flat, poles, grids, SJ and XC.

You select how many of each session you would prefer (maximum of 2 XC) and we will do our best to accommodate your request. So you want an all flat camp - book it. Want to jump, jump and jump - you got it!

All sessions will be made up of small groups according to rider/horse abilities and requirements.

Happy Hacker Camp (Stockland Lovell Only)

The hacker camp is really popular amongst our members who like to enjoy the open space and many lovely hacking routes that run from Stockland Lovell across the headland. All routes are marked out and offer some lovely long hacks and open canters.

You will also have use of the arena and XC course at specified times. Private lessons with the instructors can be arranged at an additional cost. This needs to be booked before you arrive. If numbers permit, we will try to include you in the group lessons.

  Non-Rider Camp

For parents/guardians accompanying junior members, owners of horses being ridden by others or partners coming along to join in - there's still plenty of fun to be had 'on the ground!'

The cost includes a two night fully catered mini break (breakfast, lunch and dinner!) - with plenty of walking opportunities (as the non-paid groom and photographer for your rider!) and on-site entertainment...

 - please bring you own bedding, plasters and alcohol!
