Fielding a senior 70cm team and two individual 90cm, BKRC were once again in the frillies. The 70cm team included Abi Clifton on Risky (Infinite Risk), Amanda Holmes on Minstrel (If in Doubt), Jayne Harman on BamBam and Rhea Kellow making her team debut with Paris (Whitehawk Bicardi Show Time) - delighted to make the switch from team manager to team member!
Abi was first to go and delivered yet another double clear for team BKRC with the ever ready Risky, they were followed by Amanda Holmes riding Minstrel, still a new combo but having lots of fun together already, they barely clipped a pole and were unlucky to have it down, but finished on 4 faults. Jayne and Bam Bam were having a lovely round until an over exuberant jump from Bam Bam unfortunately unseated his mum. The final team member to go was Rhea and Paris, who came home with a very creditable 8 faults on their first outing (4 for a knock down and 4 for an unfortunate sat nav error, meaning they crossed their tracks). This mean the team finished on 12 faults and we believe have qualified for the championships at Lincoln! Then it was the turn of our individual 90cm competitors. Switching to her second ride, Abi Clifton produced another lovely double clear with Jazz (Majd Aljazeera) to finish in 4th place. Kaye Popham and Hennessy (Whatever Floats Your Boat) also put in a beautiful round, just clipping a pole to incur 4 faults and finishing in the frillies in 10th place. Well done ladies and thank you again for representing team BKRC!
