After a year of Covid enforced lockdowns, it was finally time to get back out and do some area events! The first being the Area 12 Horse Trials competition, held at Pontispool on 5 June.
Brent Knoll was thrilled to put forward a senior team and an individual rider in the 80cm class. We saw Kelly Logan, Amanda Holmes, Naomi Kaye and Abi Clifton try their best.
Sadly it wasn’t the clubs day with Naomi and Abi being eliminated in the SJ phase, but both had done lovely dressage tests - even with some added extras from Abi’s horse Stella!
Amanda had a clear round cross country until a Satnav error on course at the last fence! Meaning an unfortunate elimination, which without the error would have seen Amanda in the placings with a lovely dressage test and a clear SJ round.
Kelly flew round both the SJ and XC but sadly picked up penalties in both finishing out of the placings.
