Entry Fee: £68 per team or £17 for individuals. Plus £2.50 first aid per rider - This is compulsory cover, please add medical cover per person when you enter. If your entry does not include Medical cover PP we will reject the entry.

Classes include both Team and individual entries. Teams of 3 or 4: Best 3 scores to count

Each Class will have 2 sections. Qualifier and Open, the Teams will also be Qualifier and Open. The format for each class will be BS Single Phase - please see rules for further info.

COMPETITION FORMAT: The format of this competition will be run as BS Single phase – Riders will jump one round of 12 jumps. The first half of the course will be set at the first round height, with the second part of the course set at second round height and timed as the jump-off.

This jump-off section will follow straight on from the first section of the course without stopping. All team and individual members (unless the individual is eliminated in first section) will go forward to the second jump-off section. The second half will be classed as both the team and individual jump-off.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE:

Class 1 : Mixed 60cm - first round height 60cm, second round height 65cm

Eligibility: 0 BS points / 0 BS Club points at 80 or above | 0 BE points, 0 BE Foundation points at 80 or above

Horses may not have completed a BS/BE or any BRC jumping competition with a starting height of 80cm or above in the current or previous calendar year. Rider may not have completed a BS/BE or BRC with a starting height of 80cm or above in the current or previous calendar year.

Class 2: 70cm Senior - first round height 70cm, second round height 75cm

Eligibility: 50 BS points | 0 BE points, 15 BE Foundation points

Horses may not have completed a BS/BE or any BRC jumping competition with a starting height of 90cm or above in the current or previous calendar year.

Class 3:       70cm Junior - first round 70cm height , second round height 75cm

Eligibility: As class 2. Junior Riders: under 18 on 1st Jan 2024.

Class 4:       80cm Senior - first round height 80cm, second round height 85cm

Eligibility: 250 BS points / 10 BE points

Horses may not have completed a BS/BE or any BRC jumping competition with a starting height of 100cm or above in the current or previous calendar year.

Class 5:       80cm Junior - first round height 80cm, second round height 85cm

Eligibility: As class 4. Junior Riders: under 18 on 1st Jan 2024.

Class 6        Mixed 90cm - first round height 90cm, second round height 95cm

Eligibility: 750 BS points / 40 BE points

Class 7        Mixed 100cm

Eligibility: Open

Rules and Regulations

• Declarations: All Teams and Declaration forms to be emailed to the Show Secretary Zoe Nettleton - bkrcshowsecretary@gmail.com by Thursday 13th February. Required information: Club, Class, Team Name (if applicable), Rider Name, Rider Membership number, Horse Name. Team Manager contact telephone number on the day.

• This competition will run under British Riding Club Rules. It is important that all competitors are aware of the rules relating to this competition – please see the current BRC Handbook and also the BRC Rule Amendments and Changes document which can be found at the link below: https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-ridingclubs/brc-handbook/

• The Official Steward reserves the right to stop any rider if the horse’s welfare is compromised in any way.

• Eligibility in conjunction with CR Appendix 2 & 3. Horses may compete in any competition for which they are eligible in a competition year (1 April to 31 March).Refer to current BRC rulebook for full details.

• Horse and rider eligibility is taken from the close of pre-entry.

• Members must be showing on the BRC database the last working day before the competition date.

• Riders may compete in the same class as an individual and as a team member provided different horses/ponies are ridden.

• Competitors can compete at more than one height.

• NO HORSE may compete twice in the same team.

• NO HORSE can be ridden over the same course of jumps on the same day. Juniors and seniors may share horses for show jumping provided the competition is split into senior and junior. In this instance horses for example may compete in the Senior 80 SJ and the Junior 80 SJ or the Senior 80 SJ and the Junior 90 SJ.

  • A horse may only compete at consecutive heights in show jumping for example a horse may compete in 80cm/90cm classes or 90cm/100cm classes, provided they meet eligibility requirements and only once is as part of a team.

• Upward progression is permitted in the same discipline, e.g. a horse could the 80cm show jumping in the summer and move up to 90cm show jumping in the winter.

• HATS: All hats must be tagged with pink hat tags. Hats meeting the current standards, with the up-to-date pink BRC, BE or PC hat tag, must be worn and securely fastened when mounted.

• VACINATIONS All horses attending this competition must have a correct flu vaccination history as per BRC rules. See section G7 of the BRC hand book.

• CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that we have to cancel due to adverse weather conditions, all competitor entries made through the BKRC site will be refunded (less the transaction fee) whilst we work with Area 12 to rearrange an alternative date for the qualifier. If competitors can make the re-arranged date, we will require them to enter again.

• Please inform the Steward if you are attending alone.

• The Organisers & landowners accept NO responsibility for any Loss, Damage or Injury sustained in connection with the show, to ANY person, animal or property.

• Horses & Ponies are not be left unattended when tied outside lorries/trailers

• Competitors are requested to clear the area around their horsebox and not leave any muck or litter in the parking area.

•  Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.

•  All persons attending are deemed to have accepted these conditions.
